CIRQUE DU MIRAGE: THE HUMAN SPECTACLES

Project Description

Underneath the lavish tent of Cirque Du Mirage, the maniacal ringmaster Bobo and his assortment of sins dressed as humans lead the audience through the colorful and bleak truths of society. Exposing a world hiding behind the deceitful nature of media and the materialistic vanities of life.

Artist Statement

I create things. I observe. I look around and see how people interact. Are they angry? Are they sad? Are they happy? A man yelling on his phone, an elderly lady walking her dog, two children running around trying to catch each other. In my own way, I want to tell their stories. What kind of lives could they be living? The idea may vary from an abstract sculpture made of leaves and cardboard to a documentary about the person themselves. I create these things as a way to get to know people and pay attention to life in the present.
