Project Description
KAIRÓS is the story of a mother that had to leave a life behind in search of a better future for herself and her children. It portrays her search for completion and meaning as she embarks in an immigration process to reunite her family.
Artist Statement
My work is a medium, a voice; a voice for those who don’t dare to speak up, who can’t speak up. I want to provide a safer place for spectators and make them feel rooted and connected to their environment and their reality. It takes the pieces apart and then puts them back together. My work tells stories, which like the wind, are carried around, whispered into other people’s ears. It is an examination of the societal relationships at work today. I use normal fears, thoughts, and feelings to portray humanity, flawed and raw, in all its beauty.
