ON EPICAC
by Paige Borak
Project Description
One part performance, one part installation, On EPICAC gives its audience agency to explore the connections between the performer and the titular sentient supercomputer by using immersive techniques and set design. Intimate and vulnerable, this piece investigates stress, suicide, and the difficulties faced by a young woman.
Artist Statement
My work as a theatre practitioner creates, embodies, and observes people’s brains, including my own. I look inward and expose myself to people, showing them my valleys and caverns, to give people insight into my own brain. Through my personal explorations of my own inner workings and my bearing of the findings, the audience and I get to learn, grow, empathize, and change together as a collective.
