Project Description

Transit is a play about strangers on a subway train that’s broken down and what happens when tension runs high. It explores what people will say out loud and what information people keep to themselves. Underneath everything that appears one way on the surface is a completely different story that never gets told.

 

Artist Statement

I want to use my work to better understand human nature and the reasons behind our behavior.  I want to explore situations where you don’t have a choice but to confront problems and have difficult conversations. To spark change, to build relationships, to grow, you have to be willing to talk about what is often easier to avoid. I want to inspire people to be themselves and share more of who they are with others to find common ground and be unafraid of our differences.
