Brassaï – French/Hungarian – 1899–1984

• Brassai (1899-1984), one of the most influential photographers in Europe in the 20th century.
• Born in September 1899 in Brassai, the ancient capital of Hungary.
• Photographer, sculptor.
• He went to Paris in 1924 to live and began his photography career. In 1932, the publication Paris at night immediately caused a sensation in Europe.
• Due to the limitations of photography technology at that time, night shooting was tough. Still, he did it, established his position in the history of photography, and became a generation of masters.
