Intimate Relationship

I will use photography to complete this project and publish it as a website.
The search for true and eternal intimacy is actually a search for the self, and I gained this insight after reading Roland Miller’s Intimate relationships.
Intimate relationships are not limited to the love relationship between men and women; everyone is craving for intimacy, as long as two people are intimate to a certain extent and open to each other to a certain extent, whether it is family, friends, or lovers, they can be considered a kind of intimacy. Definitely, the intimate relationship between men and women is the most energetic and tense, so the conflict is also the biggest and most heartbreaking. True intimacy is the relationship that enters the soul, which is spiritual. This kind of relationship allows you to face the resurfacing of uncomfortable feelings inside, as well as your own imperfections; you can truly express yourself and let the other person know your original face, you can also see the other person’s original appearance, only then can you find unconditional love, this kind of love is not obtained by playing tricks, but from your own heart.

• PROJECT PROPOSAL

I grew up with a dependent personality. When I was young, the love solicitation came from my parents. It was until four years ago after I went abroad on my own that my source for love switched to my boyfriend. We grew up together, and our past experiences have reshaped us. Learning to accept and face emotions is the first step towards intimate relationships. I want to shoot a series of love in this project as I feel it through my perspective (the female gaze). These photographs will explore social and cultural issues such as intimacy and gender relations. Intimate relationships represent the state of interaction and mutual influence between one individual and another.

• TIME SCHEDULE

March: research, complete proposal and read books – intimate relationships. Preliminary photography + daily record
April: complete all the photos and edit.
May: Complete essay and final phototypesetting.

Roland Miller’s Intimate
The advantage of this book is that in a systematic, complete, and scientific way, it answers my confusion about love and has a more comprehensive understanding of intimate relationships. The book’s accurate understanding and explanation of human intimacy’s common phenomena and commonalities give me a more comprehensive and profound new understanding. The experience of observing and summing up one’s own past life has been verified. The concept of listening and speaking has been changed, the rationality of cognition has been improved, and the vision of life has been broadened.
