Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder

OCD is a mental health disorder in which people have unwanted, recurring thoughts that drive them to repeat something. This disorder affects people of all ages and you can receive treatment for it, but it cannot be cured. While some know that these intrusive thoughts drive them to repetitive behavior, many feel that these thoughts may be true (limited insight). Often, people with OCD will be portrayed as extremely organized or clean people which is just one of the many ways a person with OCD can show obsessive behavior. This misconception has led people into thinking that being tidy means they have OCD when in reality this disorder causes great distress towards those who actually have it. With all the chaos that must be going through the mind of someone with OCD, I wanted to portray some of these behaviors through simple images.
