Hello, my name is Pierre Zimmerli and I am currently a first year Graduate student at Stony brook University. My major is Biomedical Engineering, with a focus in R&D. I graduated from Stony Brook with my bachelors degree as well, with the same major in BME.

I hope to move on  after my Masters degree into industry, hopefully involved in prototyping medical devices. I’ve always been interested in the field of medicine, and ever since I started at Stony Brook I’ve equally been infatuated with creating instruments for the field. I chose Stony Brook as it has the top BME program among the Suny schools, and stuck with it as I believe the school will continue to push me in the right direction.

Outside of school, I participate in several hobbies and clubs on campus. I’ve been a member of the Science Fiction Forum for the last few years, and spend most of my leisure time helping with club affairs or spending time with my friends there. At home I have 3D printer, and love to design and print out items from my favorite media. I am also an avid reader and like to play games when time allows for it.
