Hailed by The New York Times as “a small army of musicians who demonstrate
consistent accomplishment,” the Stony Brook Contemporary Chamber
Players performs a large number of concerts annually, including several in New York
City and on tour, including Stony Brook Premieres! Concert, Stony Brook Composers
Concerts, Percussion Plus, Postmodern, 20th Century Classics and other new music
concerts. Featuring Chris Hadley, Brian Smith, Rob Cosgrove, Jesus Rodolfo, Miles
Massicotte, Yu-Ting Cheng, Stephanie Liu, Carolyn Snyder, Iva Casián-Lakoš, Nhi
Huynh, John Ling, Wonjung Kim and Daniel Anastasio.

Created by composer John Lessard in 1988, the Premieres! series has commissioned
works by a wide array of composers from the United States and abroad for nearly three
decades. This year’s concert features diverse works by Michelle Lou, Amy
Williams, Wang Lu and Ushio Torikai. Performed by the Stony Brook Contemporary
Chamber Players with music director Eduardo Leandro.
