Who Are We?

The Swallow This program is run by the Center for Prevention & Outreach Health Education Office and the Department of Theatre Arts.

We, as peer-mentors, portray real-life stories brought up by university students dealing with the three main health issues facing college students. These include; alcohol/tobacco/drugs, depression/suicide, and sexual assault/rape. The aim of our shows is to educate SBU students on the consequences of substance misuse, abuse, and dependence, as well as encourage dialogue and reflection on these tough issues, ultimately to help inspire students to make healthier and more informed choices.
