Schizophrenia we usually talk about is actually referred to as schizophrenia spectrum and other psychotic disorders in DSM-V, Which includes schizophrenia, other psychotic disorders, and schizotypal disorder. It has been considered the most serious mental disorder. Defining features of schizophrenia include delusions, hallucinations, disordered thinking, grossly disorganized, and abnormal motor behavior. Delusion and hallucination are the main symptoms of schizophrenia, which will disable people’s daily functioning. Among the symptoms of schizophrenia, auditory hallucination is one of the most common existed. Auditory hallucinations often occur without any outside stimulations. As people with schizophrenia described, there are always sounds that keep whispering.
