“Unphtographable”

What I always want to try is nude photography, especially the concept of “body fluidity”. The reason why I didn’t try this is that I couldn’t find someone fully comfortable with showing her nude with me. I explored this concept for my final project, thanks to my dear friend Khaliun, but, as always, even though the series is very powerful, it still doesn’t match what I’ve imagined. As I mentioned on another page, “body fluidity” is a concept that connects femininity with strength. To do this, I want to mix paint with water and drip it on the curve of the body. In this way, texture in the skin will show up, which is what I want to take. However, when I tried, I found that the skin couldn’t hold the paint, probably because the paint is not thick enough. Therefore, instead of showing the strength in femininity, I chose to let the paint “stick” on folds or other parts of the body that females are usually insecure about. This is more straightforward and visually attractive, but my concept is poetic actually, so I’ll keep trying this.
Also, I want to explain more about my point of view on the difference between the body and someone’s body. For my final project, I took a series of the body, but not my friend’s body. The body itself is expressive without my friend’s experience. The name of the body is not important anymore because what you’ll notice is only the strength of the body. If I want to take a series of someone’s body, I’ll choose a storytelling way.
