A way that media has brought on positive change for the improvement of society and our lives is through the use of media like photography or video from journalists to depict the harsh state of life. A very well known case of journalism using media is during the industrial era from the UK or America, photographers would take pictures of the inhume working conditions that occur in the factories. These factories were ran by wealthy capitalists that only care for their profit margins and cut many corners of safety precautions that disregarded the workers along with very meager wages. Also, photography has been used to depict the unsafe working conditions that children were put in to save more money and risk many dangers like bodily harm or death. This early of journalism helped the public to notice more of these issues, which gave rise to worker’s right and laws in place to protect worker’s life or wages including child workers.
