Digital Media has made are way of approaching art more accessible. Before during the renaissance, you would have to be a part of a guild or commissioned to make art. But since the birth of the idea “Anyone can make art” and inventions of mediums like photography art can be made and explored by everyone. The accessibility of digital media via social media allows artists of all walks of life to become noticed; many artists are finding Instagram as a platform to post their work and even connect with other artists which gives artists an opportunity to connect with prospective clients and collaborators. The accessibility also raises concerns of the limits of technology. While digital media allows us to have easy access to so many avenues as artists, it could also become overwhelming to meet the expectations of your following, and feeling the need to ‘compete’ with other artists on social media.
