Stephen has been awarded the 2017 Provost’s Award for Academic Excellence at SBU. He was recognized for his outstanding scholastic record, his research in our group, his research with Professor Rezaul Chowdhury in Computer Science, and his contributions to the SBU Competitive Programming Team. Matt was selected as a finalist for the 2017 Discovery Prize. His proposal titled “Characterizing Non-Equilibrium Dynamics in Quantum Mechanical Systems” is a collaborative effort with Professors Jin Wang (Chemistry and Physics) and Dilip Gersappe (Materials Science). The finalists’ event will be scheduled shortly.
