As a portrait photographer, it was interesting to understand the feelings a person is going thru at the moment of the shot. In other words, if a person is sad then sadness is what you will see through the lenses. We might be able to tell the person to change his face according to our need, but that first impression captured through the lenses will not change.
Taking shots without people being aware of my presence is what I like the most from the portraits because I feel I can capture the true nature of the moment and the ambiance.
