Graduate Research – Dr. Yi-Xian Qin, Ph.D
Project 1: Performing Finite Element Analysis to observe the effects of different instrumentation on the development of a spinal
Undergraduate research – Dr. Clinton Rubin, Ph.D & Dr. Mei Lin Chan, Ph.D
- Project 2: Observed the effects of alcohol and low-intensity vibrations on the tibial bones of adolescent rats. Micro CT scans were analyzed to find differences in bone density in different regions of bone samples
- Project 3: Observed the effects of low-intensity vibrations on bone marrow adiposity in mice using a staining process and a compound microscope for image acquisition
- Project 4: Implemented mechanical stimulation to CD4 and CD8 cells in cell culture experiments to analyze influences on cell proliferation
Senior Design Project – Dr. Danny Bluestein, Ph.D
- Project 5: Designed a left ventricle flow loop to mimic the left ventricle for testing of prosthetic aortic and mitral valves
