Welcome to my webpage!

I am a third year PhD student of Political Science at Stony Brook University where I am a member of the Political Psychology Experimental Lab and the Nam Lab. I study public opinion, political psychology, and quantitative methods. My research focuses on the way political motivations shape information processing and how this is consequential for the way citizens communicate and respond to political symbolism. In my dissertation, “Emergent Meaning: Cross-level Inference and Political Attitudes,” I develop a text and network analytic approach for surveying the shared and personal meaning attached to political concepts and illustrate how this can be used to craft more persuasive messages.
