Dr. Saba Al-Rubaye is currently postdoctoral research fellow in Smart Energy Lab. at Stony Brook University, USA. She received Ph.D. degree in Electronic and Computer Engineering from Brunel University-London in 2013. She has conducted research on LTE- Radio Management Networks. Her PhD thesis study is supervised by Professor John Cosmas at Brunel University, UK. Her research interests lie in the area of wireless communications with special focus on LTE-A systems, Microgrid Netwroks, Power Management, Energy Efficient Networks, and Smart Grid.
Dr. Al-Rubaye has served as a research assistant at the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at Brunel University, UK and Ryerson University, Canada respectively. During the same period, she taught Computer Networks, Embedded Systems, Communications Systems I&II, Digital Electronics and System and Programming C++.
Dr. Al-Rubaye is recognized as Associate fellow (AFHEA) of the British Higher Education Academy in 2012. she is a recipient of the Best Paper Award from WWRF24 published in IEEE Vehicular Technology in 2011. She is published over twenty journal and conference papers in the area of telecommunications. She is also the author of three book chapters focusing on green communications. She acts as a reviewer for IEEE Transections on Vehicular Technology and also she has served on technical program committees and organizing committees for leading conferences of several international conferences such as IEEE GLOBECOM, IEEE PIMRC, IEEE ICC, IEEE WCNC and IEEE CIT. She is a member of the IEEE, IET and European Technology Platform Photonics 21.
