GLAUCOMA
- High eye pressure from fluid build-up in front of eye causes damage to the optic nerve.
- Most common in older adults. Change is gradual and typically affects peripheral vision first.
- Advanced stages result in tunnel vision.
- Common risk factors include diabetes, heart disease, and high blood pressure.
