My name is Salar Souri,  PhD student in the Biomedical Engineering Department at Stony Brook University. I’m perusing my PhD degree in the Medical Physics track.  I received my Medical Physics degree from Columbia University and completed my residency in Therapeutic Radiological Physics at Northwell Health. My original background is in computer software engineering, Mathematics and Physics. I’m currently practicing as a Radiation Oncology Physicist in NewYork Presbyterian hospital and doing research in radiation oncology at Stony Brook University. My goal is to develop new technologies and techniques in the field of Radiation Oncology in order to improve radiation treatment for cancer patients.
