This is the question that inspired me to do portraits of my family.

The answer for me was an easy one: my family, specifically my mom and my sister. My mom was diagnosed with breast cancer when I was 15 years old. She is a survivor and has taught that there is nothing in this world; nothing that could happen in my lifetime that I can’t overcome. My sister has taught me that no matter how bleak things seem you can always find time to fool around and have fun.
