About me

I’m an assistant professor of Linguistics at Stony Brook University. In my research, I am interested in how input variability (talker) and output variability (production) is manifested in typical and clinical populations and how we can utilize variability to understand the underlying sources of various phonological disorders. I use behavioral and acoustic measures of speech and focus on a wide range of languages (Spanish, Jamaican Creole, Arabic, Basque, French).

Prior to Stony Brook, I received my PhD in Communications and Sciences Disorders from New York University in 2022, and my MA in linguistics and cognitive sciences from the University of Delaware.

I’m also a licensed speech language pathologist with clinical experience in speech and language disorder. I’ve worked with Arabic and Hebrew speaking children with speech delays in school setting and developmental centers.
