Media has improved our lives through a more easily transmissible means of sharing information. Compared to when people had to figure out things by trial and error, or use encyclopedias with small pictures and static pages of text, the internet provides informative photos and videos that are for the purpose of tutorial and instruction. We are now able to easily learn heuristics and skills from other people through media, directly benefiting from the knowledge of in most cases, total strangers. In a way, I feel like this makes us feel less alone as individuals, knowing that others seek out the same questions we do and that there is someone willing to share somethings with us, be it by photographic step by step diagrams, or in a video tutorial.
