  • “The Outsiders”

    Hi Everyone, My name is Kwame Bush; I am a Senior Studio Art Major at Stony Brook University. I have been in the photography game for a little over 4 years now and I can honestly say I love it. Being able to capture things that spark interest in your eyes is amazing. With photography, I like to have meaning behind my shots or even tell a little story behind most of my photos.

    “The Outsiders” was a title I used to show my friends captured in an outside environment free from everything and everyone. It allowed them to show their true colors snapped in a photograph. Being a photographer, I always loved to shoot people in their comfortable state. In other words, not having them in a studio room with planned positioning but to have them just be who they want to be. I relate their minds to the outside because of how free-flowing nature is and I wanted them to be connected with the outside world. This project has allowed me to open different avenues of creativity that I would have never known I can do. By adding in different little effects with photoshop, it brought some of the photos to life a little more.
