Why Don’t You Grow Your Hair?, 2020, Drypoint on plexiglass, 24″ x 18″

“Exploring themes of gender, sexuality, and feminism I chose to create a self-portrait. Through my art I hope start conversations regarding stereotypes and standards that surround women. My main focus of this piece is the discriminatory treatment of women who choose to grow their body hair, even though it’s natural.”
