Hi! My name is Sarah Spinelli and I am a graduate student studying Biomedical Engineering here at Stony Brook University. I obtained my Bachelor of Engineering degree in Biomedical Engineering at Stony Brook University as well.
I will be completing my Master of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering in the spring of 2023, and after that I plan on entering the bioengineering and pharmaceutical research and development industries. My engineering degrees have provided me with the useful skills of problem solving, critical thinking, teamwork, and professional vigor. I hope to apply those skills at a company that I can grow my career within, and that I can contribute a lasting impact to.
Throughout my undergraduate experience as a biomedical engineering student, I had been exposed to many different aspects within the field through classes, research, and professional experience. The exposure to the field that I experienced as an undergraduate prepared me for graduate school, and I believe graduate school will prepare me for a career in the biomedical engineering industry. Although my classes provided me with many skills and allowed me to gain a significant amount of knowledge of different topics within the field, my research and professional experiences have really shaped me as a biomedical engineering graduate student.
