Rinko Kawauchi’s photography is characterized by serenity and poetry, capturing the ordinary moments of life. I really like how dreamlike her photographs are, perfectly replicating the feelings you have in a dream.

This self portrait of her speaks volumes on the type of person she is despite it not revealing her face. It reminds me of myself as I am not someone who likes to take portraits of my face either.

Rinko’s pictures reminds me of childhood core memories that I have forgotten. I love how light the picture is and I would love to replicate it in my future projects.
