Since the outbreak of Covid-19 in March, people’s ways of life have changed a lot. For me, the most direct change is that I could not go to the painting studio. Painting became much more inconvenient for me. Having difficult access to paint and staying at home all the time caused me to feel down, and that made my efficiency very low. Several months after the pandemic, when the situation was getting better, I started to walk outside around the campus and noticed a lot of changes. For example, the south parking lot was reconstructed as a Covid testing site, and there were few people on campus. I could see deer playing on the football field. I became interested in observing this kind of change between human and nature, so I decided to paint what I saw around campus after the outbreak of Covid.
