About Me

Hi there! My name is Tanvir Ashraf. I am a biology major with a specialization in neuroscience and am minoring in writing. Usually when I tell people about my unusual combination of bio and writing, I get a “are you crazy” look. But it just so happens that I love both science and writing! Writing gives me a form of retreat. Sitting down and just pulling out a pen and paper can be done anywhere and is personally one of my favorite pastimes. However, I also LOVE playing sports. From basketball and football, to baseball, hockey, and even tennis, I enjoy playing all kinds of sports. I can also be a video game fiend. Personally, I prefer the war or sports games, but I can enjoy games of other genres as well. As you can clearly see, I sincerely enjoy keeping myself busy no matter which way it may be. This love for using my hands, science, and helping others has led me towards a career in the neuroscience feel and eventually I aspire to be a neurosurgeon. Medicine, athletics, writing, video games; as you can see, I enjoy a wide array of things, and hope to put up works of writing that can be enjoyable for people with all kinds of interests!
