You wish your life was more interesting, but be careful what you wish for…
You are sitting at your desk studying and wishing for a more interesting life, when suddenly, you hear a noise. A portal has appeared, and it takes you to a place you’ve never been. You see a beautiful and strange looking bird, and you take a picture of it, but suddenly, it tries to attack you! You manage to escape it, while running into a few obstacles on the way, and manage to escape back home through the portal just in time. Maybe having a boring life isn’t so bad after all.
When I created the project, I wanted it to be from first person point of view, so the reader really feels like they’re going on the adventure. The reader will experience an adventure through someone else’s eyes, and will hear the person’s thoughts. but is also able to control some of the actions. I tried to make the images very surprising to be more exciting to the reader.
The story has a few morals. The main lesson is that you should appreciate your life, even if it isn’t as exciting as you want it to be. The character in this story is bored with their life and wants an adventure, but the adventure ends with them being chased by an angry bird. At the end, the character is glad to be home safely, and is thankful for their life, even if it is not so exciting. At the beginning of the story, the character says that they want to take a picture to impress everyone at home, but staying alive is obviously more important than impressing people.
Another moral in this story is not to judge a book by it’s cover. When we first encounter the bird, it looks nice, and it is the color of cotton candy, so it doesn’t look so scary. But it ends up chasing us, so clearly it is not as friendly as it looks. Another lesson is to pay attention to your surroundings. The character is almost attacked by the bird because they are paying too much attention to their Instagram post to notice that the bird was coming closer.
