There is an article that Teju wrote for the New York Times, called “The Unique Sky”. The image( ) that Teju used, drew my attention. The image is photographed from a high angle. The image is composed of the shadows of people standing on the playground that has lines drawn on the ground. The people who are standing on the lines have the most flat and ordinary shadows, which are illustrated as flat figures captured. And I think maybe Teju is trying to let us experience the visual shock and conflict between flat figures with the real three-dimensional world that we are actually perceiving.
