The next Topics in Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences (TAOS) seminar will take place onWednesday, October 2, at 12:00 noon in Endeavour Hall 120. Professor Joy Romanski from the Center for Climate Systems Reserch at Columbia University will present a seminar entitled, “Contribution of Individual Diabatic Heating Processes to the Available Potential Energy.” Light refreshments will be served. Professor Michael Judge from Manhattan College will present a seminar entitled, “Growth, Behavior, and Physiology of a Supralittoral Tropical Marine Snail”. All are welcome to attend. Faculty News
Last week, Professors Edmund Chang and Brian Colle attended the Cyclone Workshop at St. Adele, Quebec, Canada where Professor Chang presented a talk entitled, “Impacts of Rossby Wave Packets on Forecast Uncertainties and Errors.”
On September 25, Professor Daniel Knopf presented a seminar, “The Physical and Chemical Transformation of Atmospheric Aerosol – Ice Nucleation and Heterogeneous Kinetics,” at the New Jersey Institute of Technology.
