The next Topics in Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences (TAOS) seminar will take place onWednesday, November 13, at 12:00 noon in Endeavour Hall 120. Professor Valentina Aquila from NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland,  will present a seminar entitled, “Response of Ozone and Nitrogen Dioxide to Mt. This week’s Oceans and Atmosphere Colloquium will take place on Friday, November 15, at 12:00 noon in Endeavour Hall 120. Professor Marat Khairtoudinov will be in London this week to attend a meeting of the European Center for Medium Range Weather Forecasting (ECMWF).

Faculty members are asked to contact Christina Fink (christina.fink@stonybrook) to let her know if you will or will not be giving an exam this semester.  Please include the course number and notify her if you need alternate seating.

Student News

Congratulations to SoMAS student Natasha Gowarnis, recipient of this year’s Liblit Graduate Scholarship. Natasha was selected on the basis of her application and interview with members of the Liblit Steering Committee.  She will be a guest at the annual Liblit Memorial Scholarship Awards Breakfast on Wednesday, November 13, at the Irish Coffee Pub in East Islip.
