This week’s Topics in Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences (TAOS) seminar will take place onWednesday, April 16, at 12:00 noon in Endeavour Hall 120. Dr. Michael Alexander from NOAA’s Earth System Research Laboratory in Boulder, CO, will present a seminar entitled “Moisture Sources for Heavy Precipitation in the Western US During Winter.”  Light refreshments will be served. This week’s Oceans and Atmosphere Colloquium will take place on Friday, April 18, at 12:00 noonin Endeavour Hall 120. Professor Bassem Allam from SoMAS will present a seminar entitled, “Combining Ecological Physiology, Pathology, and “omics” to Provide an Integrative View of Host-Microbe Interactions in Marine Bivalves” For further information, please contact Steve Ortega at 2-8781.

All are welcome to attend a Physics Department Colloquium on Global Warming on April 15 at 4:30 p.m. in Harriman Lecture Hall.  Professor Brad Marsdan from the Physics Department at Brown University will present a seminar entitled, “The Quantum and Fluid Mechanics of Global Warming.”

The Friday Weather Discussion will take place on April 18 at 4:30 p.m. in the Meteorology Laboratory, Endeavour Hall 139. Topic to be announced on day of discussion.
