The American Geophysical Union (AGU) has appointed Former Dean Minghua Zhang as Editor-in-Chief (EiC) of the Journal of Geophysical Research (JGR) – Atmospheres. JGR-Atmospheres is one of the most prestigious and largest journal in Atmospheric Sciences. Each year, it receives and reviews about 2000 papers from scientists worldwide; it accepts and publishes about half of the submitted articles. The first issue of JGR was in 1896.
This appointment shows Stony Brook University‘s commitment and contribution to the larger scientific community. As EiC, Minghua will work with seven Editors and about four-dozen Associate Editors to oversee the publications of the journal.
