Petra M. Udelhofen Memorial Scholarship Application
The Petra M. Udelhofen Memorial Scholarship is awarded annually to an undergraduate entering his/her senior year of study in atmospheric sciences (ATM). In 1-2 pages, describe your achievements in each of the four areas listed below. The questions may be addressed separately or together in one essay.
- Describe your academic achievements, detailing any awards or honors (e.g. Dean’s List, scholarships, etc.) you have received or special classes/programs in which you have participated. If there were any semesters in which your grades were lower than usual, you may discuss factors that contributed to this and steps you have taken or will take to improve your performance.
- Describe your participation in student activities (e.g. clubs, newspapers, performing groups, special events, honor societies, sororities/fraternities, etc.) at Stony Brook and elsewhere.
- Describe any service (e.g. tutoring, participating in fundraisers, working in an office, museum or aquarium, etc.) you have performed within the University or greater community.
