The next Topics in Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences (TAOS) seminar will take place onWednesday, October 30, at 12:00 noon in Endeavour Hall 120. Professor Takamichi Iguchi from NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center will present a seminar entitled, “WRF-SBM Simulation for the Two Distinct Modes in a One-Day Rainfall Event During Midlatitude Continental Convective Clouds Experiment.” Light refreshments will be served. The UUP Task Force on Teacher Education and the UUP chapter at Stony Brook will host a meeting, “Issues in Teacher Education,” on Wednesday, October 30 at 10:00 a.m. in Humanities 2001.  Also on October 30 at 12:00 noon, UUP will host a “Pre-Retirement Workshop” in the Wang Center Chapel.  RSVP is necessary for both events: http://www.uupsbu.org
