This review article gives a nice overview of the work Dr. Wehrmann and her colleagues have been carrying out in Svalbard fjords over the last 10+ years and includes a section on how the biogeochemical processes in this environment may change with further glacier retreat. The article appears in a Special Issue on the “Biogeochemistry and ecology across Arctic aquatic ecosystems in the face of change” published in Limnology & Oceanography in February 2021.
