UNPHOTOGRAPHABLE

Love That Lasts

Recently I went out to lunch at a dinner with my boyfriend. We had just come from his house where I was completing one of my photography projects so I had my camera with me. While we were waiting for our food to arrive, I looked over and saw a older couple in their 80s sitting in the corner. They were holding hands across the table and staring at each other while they chatted. The food in front of them just sat there as they only paid attention to each other, leaning across the table to be closer. The moment seemed so eternal, as if they had been sitting in that same booth for years. I took the cap off my camera to take a picture but then had a second thought. The scene was so private, I knew I wasn’t meant to see it let alone take a picture. So I let them enjoy their bliss.
