Process Sketches

For my piece, I decided to do an abstract digital illustration for my interpretation of Lucid Dreams. For the figures, I based them on the scans from my research. During Lucid Dreams, people have less REM compared to sleeping normally in REM sleep. I formed the scan lines into patterns that take the form of people. The red one symbolizes the ability to fly and control time in dreams. The purple lines represent the ability to change the sky. For the scenery, roads appear a lot when people lucid dream. I also added a few repeating hands because by looking at your hands in your dreams, it helps you realize you are lucid dreaming.
