SBU was a big change from SCCC because I went from classrooms of 30 students to classrooms of 300 students. I started off as a Marine Science major at first but found myself wanting to expand on my education because I felt as if I were limiting my scope of opportunity by choosing one major.

That’s when I switched my major after my first two semesters to MTD, which stands for Multidisciplinary Studies, and my 3 specializations that make up the degree are Business Management, Environmental Science, and Writing. I’m now able to educate myself with a wide array of courses that I know will benefit me in the long term goal of owning a Business Consultation Firm.
