LISO Invitational 2017

We are pleased to announce that the Islip Science Olympiad and Stony Brook Science Olympiad teams will be hosting the fifth annual Long Island Science Olympiad (LISO) Invitational Tournament (formerly referred to as the Islip Invitational) on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at Islip High School. Registration will begin at 7:30am. The events run from 8:30am to 3:30pm, and we hope that the award ceremony will begin by 5pm!

We current have 69 teams registered for the invitational. Please fill out this registration form if you are interested in being placed on the waitlist for the invitational. Thank you.

The cost per team will be $90. Payment must be received within 60 dates of registration or October 23, 2017, whichever date comes first. If payment is not received by the deadline, your registration will be dropped and a team from the waitlist will be given the opportunity to attend, if applicable.

All teams are held to the national standards of a maximum of 15 competing team members with no more than 7 seniors for a given team. All students are expected to follow the code of conduct for competing at an invitational tournament. Each team must bring at least one coach to supervise or assist an event and one supervising adult (older than 21) to remain in the team homerooms at all times. Those schools bringing two teams must bring two coaches for event assistance and one supervising adult for the homeroom.
