Faces (2025) emerged from the unpredictable nature of analog photography and the surreal possibilities of double exposure. This double exposure process differs from the built-in double exposure feature in a camera: it involves physically layering two negatives in an enlarger. This allows for better control of the composition and unique layering effects that would be difficult to achieve normally. I enjoyed working with the negatives in their raw form and manually adjusting them to create interesting compositions that provide an apparition-like look. The splitting faces are a self-portrait, and the different angles reveal fractals of my identity.
