Abstracts are now being accepted for SYNC 2018, to be held on Saturday, December 1st, 2018 at Stony Brook University. Please submit your abstracts anonymously to sync@stonybrook.edu. Abstracts from any branch of linguistics are welcome.
The deadline for submission is Monday, October 15th, 2018 . Extended: Monday, October 22nd, 2018.
Notifications of acceptance will be sent out by Friday, November 2nd, 2018 . Extended: Monday, November 5th, 2018.
Submission Guidelines:
Only graduate students may submit abstracts. Anonymized abstracts should be emailed as PDF attachments to sync@stonybrook.edu. Please use the subject “ABSTRACT” in your e-mail and include the following information in the body of the message:
- Author’s Name(s):
- Affiliation:
- Abstract title:
- Subfield:
Remove any identifying information from the body of the abstract as well as the metadata of the file. References to previous work by the author in the abstract should be either be in the third person, like any other reference, or the author named changed to “Author” as appropriate.
Submitted abstracts will be:
- two A4 or letter pages in length, maximum, including figures, examples and references
- 1″ margins
- 11 or 12 point font
