Our generation has a tendency to grow up too fast, and we tend to have missed out on the fun things that came with being a kid. I know I did. I didn’t let myself be a kid for long.
As a kid, I remember having the best time blowing bubbles. At my cousin’s house, we would always have bubble blowing contests to see who could make the biggest bubble before it burst. It was innocent fun that could occupy us for so long. But as I have grown older, bubbles have been replaced with grown-up things, like college and work, and I don’t have the time to be blowing bubbles anymore.
I decided to enjoy the “childish” things. A friend and I went to a petting zoo and we let ourselves be kids. We swung on swings, fed baby goats, watched different animals play, and… we blew bubbles. It is the most fun I have had in a long time.
Enjoy the little things. Be a kid again. You’ll thank yourself.
