For this assignment, I decided to focus on the photographer Vivian Maier. She was discovered by an amateur historian named John Maloof at an estate sale, where he found some of his photographs. Her work focuses on her surroundings and she is also widely known for her portraiture.

I find her work to be very engaging and wonderful to look at! She has a way of capturing a person’s essence with her camera that is amazing to witness.
