Towards the Dark
Winter is the season when seasonal depression hits, when the days are short and the nights are long, and the routines just feel that much harder to get through. I am one of those people who is greatly affected by the change of seasons and this year it has felt that much more dramatic. Having to come to terms with the fact that next semester might be my last, and that I am going to be moving onto bigger things. For this story, I chose to use a pumpkin, which represents my happiness, associated with the fall season and everything that comes with it. Then the dark cloud, that is winter, comes in to obscure my joy and crushes me down with the weight of everything associated with the winter months. Whether it be midterms, finals, relationships or seasonal depression, I am left trying to stitch myself back together in the end.
