Welcome!

May 2024 Graduation!

I am Tannvi Kaushik, a dedicated student pursuing an accelerated BE/MS program in Biomedical Engineering at Stony Brook University. I grew up in Queens, NY, and later moved to Hicksville, Long Island, where I completed my high school education during the COVID-19 pandemic. My first year at Stony Brook was remote, but once things returned to normal, I truly enjoyed the college experience. I have since earned my Bachelor of Engineering in Biomedical Engineering.

Currently, I am working on a master’s research project under Dr. Eric Brouzes in the Microfluidics for Quantitative and Genomics Biology lab at SBU. This research allows me to deepen my expertise in microfluidics and contribute to innovative developments. After completing my graduate studies, I plan to work in the biotech and pharmaceutical industries, focusing on designing medical devices and treatments. I have a passion for learning which extends beyond academics; whether it’s acquiring new skills in the lab or experimenting with different ingredients.

In my free time, I enjoy traveling, meeting people, and trying different foods. As someone who values health and wellness, I practice yoga daily and actively seek new vegetarian and vegan recipes. My diverse interests and commitment to personal growth drive me as I pursue a future in biomedical engineering.
