During my lifetime of thunderstorms, one of such occasions changed the way in which I would perceive them forever. In my early adolescence, lightning struck a tree in the backyard of my childhood home, hurling it straight into my brother’s window in the middle of the night. My family wasn’t severely impacted as the collateral damage was relatively minor, yet, something within me changed. I would always consider the placement of lightning after this event, every location it may affect, whether big or small. This project is a dialogue of this event, each panel representing the before, during, and after events that unfold when lighting strikes.
